Rio de Janeiro is one of my most memorable places. After visiting in 2014 this place is not at all what the media portrays! People were very friendly, helpful, and they weren't trying to rip you off and I did not feel unsafe at all. There was a sense of peace and complacence among the people living here. They didn't seem like they needed to indulge themselves or depressed like our first world problems.The indigenous people also seemed very happy with what they have, what it is for them. Why can't us living in 1st world do the same?
